Depth, Joy, and Courage — All in One Room.

In a world carrying so much weight, there’s still room to breathe here.

I helps people and organizations do the deep work of culture, healing, and belonging — and brings joy into the room while she does it.

Two ways to work with me

🌍 Cultural Responsiveness & Belonging

Helping organizations and communities create more culturally responsive, inclusive, and connected spaces.

Cultural responsiveness • Immigration & belonging • Cross-cultural communication • Workplace & community culture • Culturally responsive mental health • Community engagement

✦ Joy as Resistance & Restoration

Helping people and communities make room for joy while navigating difficult realities.

Joy as Resistance & Restoration • Joy during difficult times • Movement & embodied joy • Connection & community • Rest and restoration • What brings us back to ourselves

why it matter

Culture, Connection & Joy

The world is carrying a lot right now. Violence, displacement, uncertainty, and division affect how we live, work, and relate to one another. In difficult times, joy can easily become something we put aside or lose along the way.

Nuna's work brings together cultural responsiveness and joy. She helps organizations and communities better understand one another, create stronger cultures of belonging, and make room for the things that keep us human — connection, movement, laughter, rest, and joy.

We can take difficult things seriously without allowing them to take every beautiful part of being alive. We can do the hard work and still make room for joy.

Hi, I’m Nuna!

I’m really glad you found your way here. Seriously — with all the places you could be on the internet right now, you’re here. Welcome

I am a Kenyan-born, Maine-based, endlessly curious about people, culture, and what makes us feel alive.

My work often brings me close to serious things: violence, injustice, cultural differences, displacement, and the complicated ways we try to live and work together. But somewhere along the way, I learned that I don’t want difficult things to have all of me.

So I make room for joy.

I dance. I move. I disappear into the forest. I love my solitude. I practice gratitude. I laugh loudly. I stay connected to my culture. And I keep asking myself and the people I work with a question that has become very important to me:

What brings you back to yourself?

That curiosity — about culture, humanity, joy, and how we find our way back to ourselves — is at the heart of how I speak, facilitate, teach, and live.
